Rated by the Tampa Tribune as one of the area's "Top Three" golf courses, Fox Hollow has hosted the USGA Amateur Publinks Qualifier, PGA Senior Tour's GTE Suncoast Classic Qualifier, and MasterCard Grand Masters Pro-Am. Designed by Jed Azinger & Gordon Lewis, the 6900-yard layout is located just around the corner from Cheval and right up the street from TPC Tampa Bay. One of Tampa's most popular daily-fee facilities, it features five sets of tees; well-manicured fairways; large, undulating greens; and water on the majority of holes. Virtually surrounded by natural beauty, it's a stunning design that plays between natural conservation areas and cypress heads.

At 6976 yards from the back tees, Heritage Isles is sure to challenge even the most seasoned player. Even though water comes into play on all 18 holes, it is the short game that will be tested most. Players with that "deft touch" will be at a distinct advantage over their competitors. Located just minutes off I-75 and easy to get to, the scenic layout winds through cypress heads and natural wetlands.

Course designer Scott Pate, of Seaside Golf Development, has done wonderful work on the new course at Hernando Oaks. The layout wanders through beautiful Florida countryside and was designed with a sense of fairness in mind. The fairways tend to be wide and forgiving, but there's just the right amount of water to keep your attention. Your score will be determined mostly on how well you handle the elevated and undulating greens. You'll find Hernando Oaks about 45 minutes north of Tampa in the town of Brooksville.

The Copperhead Course at Innisbrook is considered one of the best resort courses in the country (as rated by Golf Digest) and is host to The Transitions Championship, a PGA Tour event. The par-71 course plays over 7,350 yards from the back tournament tees and is a very stern test of golf with terrific greens. The course is best characterized by its tree-lined fairways and rolling natural setting. It's actually more reminiscent of a Carolina layout than its location on Florida's West Coast. One of Innisbrook's four championship courses, the Island Course, was the first to open for play in December of 1970, and still offers Innisbrook's most diverse golfing challenge. Just slightly shorter in length than the famed Copperhead, the Island unfolds into 18 truly unique holes. The varying terrain, coupled with a variety of tee placements, can challenge both the professional player as well as the weekend golfer. The Island's first six holes are dominated by lateral water hazards and fairly level terrain which require pin point accuracy on both tee shots and approaches. The middle six holes feature rolling hills dominated by cypress and pine trees. The final six boast a mixture of holes designed to reward the bold yet penalize the errant golf shot. Finally, the layout winds down to an 18th hole that will test the nerves of even the most steady. What a golf course!

This beautiful 18-hole layout has tight fairways and well-bunkered greens, placing a costly premium on accuracy from tee to green. Wildlife abounds here, as it does on all of Innisbrook's courses, and includes several families of Red-Tail Hawks on the back nine, many Ospreys on the lakes around holes 3 through 7, and several alligators!

Innisbrook's South Course features many a great selection of holes. Among its many challenges is the 210-yard, par-3 9th hole, featuring a very difficult-to-hit island green. The 6,620-yard course offers abundant water and other hazards of differing forms including well-bunkered greens and waste areas reminiscent of Pinehurst.

The new North course at Lake Jovita is a tremendous compliment to the original South course. This great new track captures the essence of the fabulous South course in every aspect, and even boasts greater elevation changes, divergent of traditional Florida courses. Bordered by stands of trees, this tight layout has no parallel fairways, making it an unusual design. With water on 16 holes, shotmaking and correct club selection are essential. Lansbrook has recently replaced the greens with smooth running Tifdwarf Bermuda and the course is maintained in absolutely perfect condition. For Masters' fans, hole #11 is reminiscent of #16 at Augusta National.

Lexington Oaks Golf Club is one of Tampa Bay area's newest courses, carved from a landscape that was centuries in the making. Over rolling hills and through narrow fairways, golfers will enjoy the challenge created by the setting's diverse topography. For an outstanding golf value, Northdale's classic 18-hole Ron Garl design stands firmly above the rest of Tampa Bay's favorite golf courses. Nestled in the heart of Tampa, Northdale Golf & Tennis Club is just minutes away from the airport, beaches, and major Bay Area attractions. This classic Florida-style layout has only two parallel fairways, which allow you to enjoy the view of the natural terrain. Although one of the shorter courses in the North Tampa area, Quail Ridge is certainly challenging enough for players of all abilities. Located just off the Suncoast Parkway toll road and SR-52 in Spring Hill, this course is easily accessible from North Tampa and is a terrific value!

This beautifully manicured WCI course features two distinctive nines. The front nine has an open links feel with wide fairways and greens that will accept only your best bump-and-run approach shots. The home nine requires more accuracy from tee to green as it meanders through a large conservation area with water that comes into play on every hole. The Saddlebrook Course was originally designed by Dean Refram in 1976. Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay redesigned the course when building the Palmer Course in 1986. The Saddlebrook Course provides a longer challenge than the Palmer with tighter, tree-lined fairways. Just like the Palmer, you'll find water on 17 of the 18 holes. The course is well-known for its finishing hole, a tough par four with a difficult second shot over a substantial water hazard to a vvery undulating green. Make four here and it will bring you back for more!

The par-70 Palmer Course at Saddlebrook plays much longer than it's 6,469 yards. With water on 17 of the 18 holes, players find themselves thinking their way around this Arnold Palmer design. The par-five, fourth hole is a perfect example with water on the right and out of bounds on the left off the tee. The second shot doesn't get any easier with trees lining both sides of the fairway. Finally, an elevated and well-trapped green awaits your third shot as you attempt to reach the green in regulation. Overall, you'll find the Palmer Course to provide an enjoyable day of golf with rolling fairways and receptive, undulating greens.

Enjoy golf at a private country club! Built in 1962, and renovated in 2007, this classic Florida layout features an excellent variety of holes that make for a memorable day on the links. Intimidating. Enjoyable. These two words don't often go hand in hand, but they accurately describe the Pine Barrens course at World Woods. Ranked #26 on Golfweek's list of "America's Best Modern Courses for 2006," this Tom Fazio design has been receiving accolades since it opened in 1991. It's perennially ranked among the nation's top courses by Golf Digest and has been called "Florida's Pine Valley." The course features large fairways framed by expansive waste bunkers and towering pines (hence the comparisons to Pine Valley).

Although built right next door, the land occupied by Rolling Oaks provides a stark contrast to that at Pine Barrens. Fazio's mindset must have been completely different when designing both courses, but the end results are nothing less than spectacular.
